The olfactory pyramid is a theoretical view of the degree of evaporation of any perfume components and their persistence. It consists of 3 levels that allow to illustrate the temporal development of the fragrance: bottom notes, heart notes and top notes.
The top notes are fresh and light: they create the “flight of the perfume”. The heart notes are more powerful and last two or three days: they express the wealth of a perfume and its “wake”.
The base notes evaporate slowly and may persist for days. They express the “personality” of the fragrance, that generates also loyalty.
These results depends also by the personal olfactory and from the skin of the person that wears the fragrance.
